The University of Central Florida and Valencia College are partnering with Creative Village Development to create a 68-acre mixed-use campus in downtown Orlando. The project includes:

  • the $60 million, 148,000-sf Dr. Phillips Academic Commons, designed by SchenkelShultz Architecture
  • a privately developed $105 million, 600-bed student housing complex with 105,000 sf of academic space to be leased by UCF and Valencia College
  • a $9 million, 600-space parking garage and tri-generation utility plant
  • a $5 million renovation of the structure housing the Center for Emerging Media and the Florida Entertainment Academy

Ground was broken on the facilities in May of 2017 and completion is expected in August of 2019. The Creative Village development will also include offices, work studios, residential buildings, commercial space, and a hotel.
