Kent State University Develops Campus Master Plan

Published 4/7/2018

The trustees of Kent State University have approved a ten-year campus master plan that represents an investment of $1 billion over the next decade. Enhancing the iconic Front Campus, the three-phase project will create healthy living-learning environments connected by a walkable campus core linking purpose-built classrooms, labs, and studios. The project will include construction of a new building for the College of Business Administration, a new Airport Classroom Building to support aviation programs, an addition to the Aeronautics and Technology building, an expansion of the Integrated Sciences Building, and renovation of the Memorial Athletic & Convocation Center and the Kent Student Center. An innovation hub nearer the city of Kent will offer maker spaces, multidisciplinary studios, and dining venues within the redesigned Art Building.
