University of North Georgia Plans Cottrell Center for Business, Technology and Innovation

The University of North Georgia is planning to build the $30 million Cottrell Center for Business, Technology and Innovation in Dahlonega. The 91,000-sf interdisciplinary facility will accommodate programs in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, computer forensics, and data visualization and analytics. The technology-rich building will offer tiered classrooms, flexible learning environments, faculty and staff offices, a sales and marketing research lab, a digital marketing command center, a student success center, and a multipurpose room that can accommodate up to 540 people. The collaborative facility will house the BB&T Center for Ethical Leadership, the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and the Center for Cyber Operations Education. Construction is expected to begin in late 2020 with completion expected in 2022.
