St. Thomas University dedicated the $21.5 million Gus Machado College of Business in October of 2020 in Miami Gardens, Fla. Designed by Bermello Ajamil & Partners, the 46,521-sf complex features an academic building offering 20 classrooms, a trading floor, computer labs, case study rooms, a student innovation incubator, a video telecast room, and an auditorium for conferences and symposia. Reflecting the modern workplace, the technology-rich facility provides open, multipurpose environments for experiential education and entrepreneurship. The collaborative complex also includes a career development center and an administration building housing a large boardroom and faculty offices. Ground was broken on the project in January of 2019.
