The University of Nevada is constructing a 128,000-sf facility for the College of Business in Reno. Designed by LMN Architects, the five-story building will provide a full range of spaces tailored to best practices in modern business education. Featuring a 300-seat auditorium, the collaborative structure will house advanced technology labs, team meeting rooms, faculty and administrative offices, a café, and a student commons. A state-of-the-art trading lab will offer unique opportunities for experiential learning, complemented by instructional and study venues optimized for case method teaching strategies. A landscaped courtyard and several outdoor plazas will encourage informal interaction while creating a vital link between the academic community and the urban core.

Located in the Mathewson Gateway district, the project is being delivered as a public-private partnership with Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate utilizing a lease-leaseback financing model. Clark Construction broke ground in October of 2023 on the sustainably designed facility, which is slated to achieve LEED Gold certification. Occupancy is expected in fall of 2025. Subsequent phases of development at the site will include a teaching lab complex for life sciences, as well as a hotel and conference center.
