CES Group Announces New Steam Grid

CES Group announced the launch of its new Steam Grid in July of 2009. The CES Group Steam Grid was created following extensive research and development to meet the challenge of controlling indoor humidity levels. This innovative multi-tube steam dispersion system is installed within the humidification section of an air handler to distribute steam over the entire surface of the air handler section, reducing the absorption distance.

DuPont Uses FM:Interact for Global Portfolio Management

FM:Interact is a Web-based software product created by FM:Systems that enables DuPont to track and report on workplace information such as space cost and use, enabling facilities managers to view their entire portfolio and get real-time data from any location. FM:Interact is enabling the DuPont facilities team to deliver competitive real estate solutions that have generated income, reduced energy use, and saved on maintenance costs.

NASA Renovates Langley Research Center

NASA broke ground on a $23 million office building in Hampton, Va., in July of 2009. The 72,000-sf Building 1 will be constructed to attain LEED Gold sustainable design certification. The project is part of a $200 million renovation and expansion of Langley Research Center to support aeronautics research with improved facilities and infrastructure.

Jetstream Wind Builds Hydrogen Power Plant

Jetstream Wind broke ground on a $219 million hydrogen power plant in July of 2009 in Truth or Consequences, N.M. The 10-megwatt facility is the world's first utility-scale, zero-emissions hydrogen power plant and will use electricity from wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen will be burned in a turbine to generate electricity. Completion is expected by early 2011. Jetstream Wind is based in Albuquerque, N.M.
