University of Toledo Plans College of Pharmacy
The University of Toledo is planning to construct a $30 million facility for the College of Pharmacy in Toledo, Ohio. Sited on the university’s health sciences campus, the 54,000-sf project is slated for completion in mid-2010.
Southeast Missouri Hospital Plans Regional Cancer Center
Southeast Missouri Hospital will break ground in late 2008 on the $33 million Regional Cancer Center in Cape Girardeau. The 49,200-sf facility will house two linear accelerators, internal radiation therapy, MRI, pharmacy, on-site lab, and physician offices. Occupancy is slated for December of 2010. The project architect is Pansing, Nolan and Matlock of Webster Groves, Mo.
St. Mary's Health Plans Jefferson City Hospital
St. Mary's Health Center has selected a partnership of HGA and The Lawrence Group to design its new $200 million hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. Featuring 167 private patient rooms, the project will begin construction in 2010 with completion expected in fall of 2012.
King's College London Plans Clinical Neuroscience Institute
King's College London has selected Devereux Architects and Allies & Morrison to design its £41m Clinical Neuroscience Institute facility. The project will support translational research on neuroscience, neurogenetics, epilepsy, and neurodegeneration. Completion is expected by December of 2010.
Saint-Gobain Expands Northborough R&D Facility
Compagnie de Saint-Gobain broke ground in July of 2008 on a $15 million expansion of its research and development facility in Northborough, Mass. The project will add 61,000-sf of laboratory, office, and conference space to the building, which is one of Saint-Gobain’s four worldwide research centers. The expansion will enable the company to add an additional 40 workers at the site for a total of 340 employees. The architect for the expansion is Shepley Bulfinch of Boston with A.J. Martini of Winchester as general contractor.
