Southwestern Community College Builds Student Services Center

Southwestern Community College District has selected San Diego-based O'Connor Construction Management to oversee the development of the $10.5-million One Stop Student Services Center and the $5.2-million Child Development Center. Sited on the college's main Chula Vista campus, the project includes the replacement of the existing 27,000-sf student services building with a two-story, 48,000-sf facility designed by tBP/Architecture; construction is expected to begin in June 2003.

City of Coronado Designs City Hall Complex

The City of Coronado has selected Robbins Jorgensen Christopher (RJC) of San Diego to design its new $30-million city hall and community center complex. Construction will begin in summer of 2003 and reach completion in fall of 2004. The project is sited on 16 waterfront acres. RJC will also provide interior design and landscape architecture services.

San Diego Cancer Center Plans Encinitas Office

The San Diego Cancer Center is working with Bycor General Contractors to develop a two-story, 39,000-sf medical office building in Encinitas. The $4.1-million facility was designed by architect Ware Malcomb.

Tiffany & Co. Create Precious Metal Processing Facility

Tiffany & Co. of Cranston, R.I., have selected Integrated Builders of Braintree to renovate and retrofit approximately 30,000 sf of existing industrial space as a precious metal processing facility. SMRT of Portland is serving as architect and engineer for the $2.7-million project.
