Westchester Lab and Research Department Expands in Valhalla

Westchester County Department of Laboratories and Research is considering a $9.1-million building expansion and renovation to enhance its lab capabilities and technology in Valhalla. HarleyEllis, in conjunction with HERA of St. Louis, will outline the renovation of an existing 14,000-sf facility, as well as the proposed construction of a new 12,000-sf structure.

Fresno Community and University Medical Center Consolidation

A $200 million consolidation of University Medical Center (a San Joaquin Valley branch of University of California-San Francisco) and Fresno Community Medical Center is being planned and designed by Emeryville, Calif., architectural firm Ratcliff in partnership with RTKL Associates Inc. The 58-acre campus will consolidate existing facilities in the multi-phase project expected to catalyze  redevelopment of downtown Fresno.

Kaiser Expands Sonoma County Facilities

Kaiser Permanente is building a new 57,300-sf medical office building in Santa Rosa, Calif. A major expansion of Kaiser's presence in Sonoma County, the $10-million facility designed by Emeryville, Calif.,  architectural firm Ratcliff may be followed by two additional buildings at the same site on Highway 101, one mile north of Kaiser's existing medical center.

ARM Seeks Additional Space

UK-based ARM Ltd. is seeking approximately 45,000 sf in addition to its 20,000-sf microprocessor design center in Austin, as they have completely filled out their current facility.  ARM designs 32-bit microprocessors that are licensed to its customers.

Booz Allen & Hamilton Expand Headquarters

Booz Allen & Hamilton are expanding their headquarters with a 122,000-sf office in Tysons Corner owned by Equity Office Properties Trust. The build-to-suit, six-story building is situated on 4 acres next to the Booz Allen headquarters campus and is estimated to reach completion in April of 2002. Construction manager Trammell Crow is developing the Class A building, named E.J. Randolph II.
