Mercedes Medical, a national distributor of laboratory products, will construct its 54,667-sf headquarters in the Lakewood Ranch development in Bradenton, Fla. The $7.5 million building will provide executive offices, a distribution center, and air-conditioned warehouse space. The project was designed by Flad Architects and Stantec and will be built by Halfacre Construction Company. Completion is expected in fall of 2018.

Prism Capital Partners is engaged in the redevelopment of the former Hoffmann-La Roche site in New Jersey to create the ON3 campus. Providing integrated research, office, and recreational facilities, the mixed-use campus currently houses a 73,000-sf laboratory building partially leased by biofabrication firm Modern Meadow, with plans for the construction of an adjacent pilot manufacturing plant under way.

Mass Innovation Labs, a provider of life science research space solutions, signed a ground lease in December of 2017 for 54,0000 sf at Innovation Square Seaport (iSQ) in Boston. Located in the Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park, the 375,000-sf iSQ campus is being built by Related Beal, a real estate developer, owner, and operator. Mass Innovation Labs will anchor the first two floors of the multi-tenant facility, which will include coworking spaces and a collaboration center.

Roche Diagnostics has leased research space in NB Development Group’s Boston Landing. Roche will take occupancy of the approximately 29,000-sf facility, which is located in a 246,405-sf structure at 80 Guest Street, in early 2018. Proteostasis Therapeutics will also occupy a similar footprint in the building in early 2018.
