Ground was broken in August of 2011 on the $520 million Grand Prairie Regional Health Center in Alberta, Canada. Designed by Dialog and built by Graham Construction, the facility will include 200 inpatient beds and a cancer center. The project will also house a healthcare training facility developed in partnership with Grand Prairie Regional College. Completion is expected in 2014. 

GE Aviation is planning to build a 300,000-sf manufacturing facility in Ellisville, Miss. Located in the Howard Technology Park, the $56 million project will support production of advanced composite components for aircraft engines and systems. The facility will house 250 employees. Completion is expected in late 2012.

The $255 million Orange Regional Medical Center will open in August of 2011 in Middletown, N.Y. Construction began on the seven-story, 621,000-sf facility in November of 2007. The hospital houses 353 beds in private rooms, a 50-bay emergency department, a Level 2 NICU, surgical suites, and a birthing center. The facility will also provide cancer, cardiac, and trauma care.

Fordham University has implemented e-Builder construction project management software. The e-Builder platform will act as a framework to streamline and automate project management processes, improve transparency and accountability to maximize available project delivery time, and streamline and automate processes.

Oak Hill Hospital is planning a $50 million expansion and renovation of its Brooksville facilities. Designed by Brasfield & Gorrie and built by Gould Turner Group, the 100,000-sf project includes 30,000 sf of new construction. A two-story inpatient tower with 36 private rooms will be built, as well as eight additional operating rooms.
