Hobbs Brook Opens Waltham Life Sciences Complex
Hobbs Brook Real Estate opened a 507,000-sf life sciences complex in June of 2022 in Waltham, Mass. Designed by Gensler, the five-story facility provides state-of-the-art research labs, Class A office environments, and a 150-person conference venue. Integrating advanced mechanical and electrical systems, the highly flexible structure offers column-free floor plates that can be configured to support large single-floor tenants or multiple smaller tenants, with amenities centralized in the core.
XNRGY Climate Systems Plans US Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility
XNRGY Climate Systems is planning to construct its US headquarters in Maricopa County, Arizona. Designed by Gensler, the $300 million facility will provide one million sf of advanced manufacturing space for the production of next-generation HVAC solutions. Accelerating research and development in key areas such as immersion cooling, the sustainably designed complex will enable XNRGY to meet growing demand in sectors including hyperscale data centers, life sciences, semiconductor cleanrooms, energy storage, and healthcare.
Sterling Bay Begins Construction on Lincoln Yards Life Sciences Center
Sterling Bay began construction in October of 2021 on a 320,000-sf life sciences center in Chicago. Designed by Gensler, the eight-story ALLY building will provide leading-edge lab and office environments for biomedical and pharmaceutical tenants. With 15’ floor-to-floor heights, the 280,000-rsf project will offer flexible floor plates of approximately 42,000 sf.
