Published 5/19/2010

The University of Arizona College of Medicine broke ground in May of 2010 on the $187 million Health Sciences Education Building. Located on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, the 268,000-sf interdisciplinary facility will provide classrooms, laboratories, pre-clinical training suites, faculty offices, and study areas. The building will also house programs for the UA College of Pharmacy, Northern Arizona University’s College of Health and Human Services, and Arizona State University’s College of Nursing. The project team includes architects Ayres/Saint/Gross and CO Architects with a joint venture of DPR Construction and Sundt Construction as general contractor. LEED sustainable design certification will be sought for the facility.
