The University at Buffalo broke ground in October of 2013 on the $375 million School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Designed by HOK, the project will comprise two L-shaped buildings connected by an atrium and will feature a glass curtainwall, a high-performance façade, and a terracotta rain screen. LEED Gold sustainable design certification will be sought for the facility, which is being built by LPCiminelli. Completion is expected in fall of 2017.
