Purdue University dedicated its $60 million, 122,462-sf animal sciences complex in March of 2018 in West Lafayette, Ind. Ground was broken in November of 2015 on the project, which includes the Hobart and Russell Creighton Hall of Animal Sciences, the Land O' Lakes Center for Experiential Learning, and the Purina Pavilion. The three-story, 90,000-sf Hobart and Russell Creighton Hall of Animal Sciences provides research labs, interactive classrooms, conference rooms, open collaboration areas, departmental offices, and space for the staff of state and federal animal regulatory agencies. The 24,622-sf Land O'Lakes Center for Experiential Learning offers research and teaching space for programs in meat and protein science. The adjoining 7,800-sf Purina Pavilion will host instructional and community events on livestock care, handling, and evaluation.
