Ohio University is constructing the $65 million Heritage Hall in Athens. Designed by Perkins+Will and DesignGroup, the three-story, 120,000-sf building will provide the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (HCOM) with flexible environments for team-based learning to support the school's groundbreaking Pathways to Health and Wellness curriculum. LEED and WELL certification will be sought for the facility, which will enable HCOM to achieve the technology integration necessary for medical education and research collaborations across its three campuses. The structure will offer a fitness suite, a café, mindfulness and lactation rooms, and a fourth-floor mechanical penthouse. Donley's is the general contractor for the project, which includes the renovation of an adjacent building to house administrative offices. Construction began in summer of 2019 and completion is expected in mid-2021.
