Delta Electronics is planning to construct a regional headquarters in Hoofdorp in the Netherlands as part of a strategic expansion into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Located at the Park 20|20 business campus, the €42.26m ($48.72m) building will add 100,100 sf of modern office space for over 350 employees engaged in R&D, business development, and other departments. The five-story structure was designed by MVSA Architects in association with G&S Vastgoed to foster innovation and collaboration, and will include laboratory venues, sophisticated meeting rooms, and recreational and creative environments. A central atrium with staircases will provide abundant natural lighting while promoting informal exchange, and a dedicated showroom will display Delta’s latest technologies.
Targeting a BREEAM Outstanding certification, the sustainably designed hub will leverage numerous strategies to achieve net-zero energy performance, including connectivity to Park 20|20’s central geothermal pump system and a separate Delta Energy Storage System. A rooftop photovoltaic array with 715 panels is projected to generate sufficient renewable energy for the facility’s total consumption of over 335,500 kWH annually. An advanced climate ceiling system that supplies draught-free radiant heating and cooling will enhance employee wellbeing, and a 126-car underground parking area will be equipped with EV charging capabilities to support low-carbon transportation to and from the office.
Kondor Wessels Amsterdam is the construction manager for the project, which is slated for completion by the end of 2026.
