Cleveland Clinic Builds Neurological Institute
Cleveland Clinic is constructing the $1.1 billion Neurological Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. The 1.2 million-sf translational research facility will consolidate 15 separate centers to catalyze interdisciplinary synergies and improve patient outcomes. Spanning fourteen stories, the state-of-the-art hospital will offer a comprehensive array of services such as neuro-simulation training, infusion therapy, neurodiagnostics, brain mapping suites, imaging, and digitized patient evaluations.
Mount Sinai Medical Center Builds Braman Cancer Center
Mount Sinai Medical Center is constructing the $250 million Irma and Norman Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami Beach, Fla. Designed by CannonDesign, the 220,000-sf facility will deliver unparalleled patient care and provide much-needed access to clinical expertise, robust support services, and research. Mount Sinai’s affiliation with Columbia University will enable collaborative assessments and treatment plans informed by sophisticated, evidence-based methodologies for cancer care.
UChicago Medicine Builds AbbVie Foundation Cancer Pavilion
University of Chicago Medicine is constructing the AbbVie Foundation Cancer Pavilion to catalyze high-impact research programs and reimagine the spectrum of patient care. CannonDesign is partnering with Yazdani Studio and Blue Cottage on the $815 million project, which will be the first freestanding structure in Illinois dedicated solely to cancer treatment and research. Teams of clinicians, investigators, and physician-scientists will come together to optimize patient outcomes.
Medical University of South Carolina Builds College of Medicine
The Medical University of South Carolina is constructing a $175 million facility for the College of Medicine in Charleston. Designed by SLAM in collaboration with Liollio Architecture, the 186,000-sf building will accelerate progress and innovation in medicine, education, and research. The structure will offer active learning environments including a terraced classroom and a theater, as well as offices for the dean and other faculty and staff. Study spaces will be complemented by meeting, event, and wellness venues.
