NextCorps opened an entrepreneurship hub in Rochester in February of 2018. Located in the Sibley Square building, the project was created by the University of Rochester, the state of New York, and the U.S. Economic Development Administration. Featuring a prototyping lab, private offices and suites, and an auditorium, the first $16 million phase of construction provides 40,000 sf of office, wet lab, conference, and coworking space, with a planned second phase comprising build-out of an additional 28,000 sf, bringing the total project investment to $24 million. The facility can accommodate over 40 companies from the biomedical, software, photonics, and healthcare industries. The hub also houses the headquarters of NextCorps, which was previously known as High Tech Rochester.
