Three projects designed by Stantec were shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival, which convened in Miami in November of 2025.

Dubai Diabetes Center is located on the Latifa Hospital Campus in central Dubai. The 60,000-sf facility will offer five dedicated clinics and 60 examination rooms, doubling the current capacity for diabetes treatment. Multidisciplinary specialist services will include pediatrics, endocrinology, podiatry, cardiology, nephrology, and ophthalmology. Oriented around a series of interior courtyards to foster occupant wellbeing, the biophilic building will accommodate a learning center, a gymnasium, a gathering zone, and a demonstration kitchen. The sustainable structure is targeting LEED Gold certification, incorporating a high-performance envelope, integrated photovoltaic systems, and a deeply recessed façade to minimize solar gain and glare through passive strategies. Occupancy is slated for 2026.

Cambridge Memorial Hospital was completed in January of 2025 in Ontario, Canada. The $187 million redevelopment included 150,000 sf of new construction and and the renovation of 240,000 sf to enable growth in diagnostic imaging, surgery, intensive care, and emergency services. New units also support programs for pediatrics, maternity, and mental health. Connected to existing towers by a transparent bridge, the technologically advanced center provides a total of 217 beds.

Red River College Polytechnic's Interdisciplinary Health and Community Services Simulation Centre in Winnipeg provides interactive learning opportunities for nursing, allied health, and paramedicine students. The 17,000-sf facility features two low-fidelity and three high-fidelity simulation labs. Prep and debrief rooms are accompanied by a paramedicine lab and a triage station. The CAD 7.9 million project involved the renovation of the fourth floor in an existing building constructed in the 1960s.
