West Lafayette, Ind.
Purdue University broke ground on a $168 million facility for the Mitch Daniels School of Business in April of 2025 in West Lafayette, Ind. Designed by Gensler and BSA, the 164,000-gsf structure will feature sophisticated labs for behavioural research, financial training, and data visualization. Dynamic conference venues will be accompanied by studios enabling online and hybrid pedagogies. Envisioned as a beacon for discovery across business, science, technology, and engineering, the dynamic center will support three programmatic platforms: Engine, Innovate, and Mix.
- Engine will offer two large classrooms and a 500-person auditorium on the first level, as well as career advising offices. Above, immersive learning venues will be complemented by a multipurpose zone that will foster connections with corporate partners.
- Innovate will serve as the home for the Integrated and Business Engineering course, housing simulation spaces, innovation labs, research display areas, and event settings.
- Mix will encompass a range of flexible collaboration spaces for social engagement and knowledge exchange, as well as open and closed study zones tailored to a range of learning styles. A green courtyard will enhance occupant wellbeing and support networking activities and career fairs.
Pepper Construction is delivering the project, with completion anticipated in August of 2027.
