Northwestern University broke ground in May of 2025 on a visionary new facility for the Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Ill. The seven-story building was designed by KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox) as a dynamic environment where inventive faculty thrive, students collaborate productively, and corporate leaders hone meaningful relationships in their industries and beyond. Representing an investment of approximately $300 million, the 243,000-sf structure will integrate advanced technologies to enable seamless hybrid instruction and global engagement.

This new home for the school's MBA and Executive Education programs will offer 48 group study rooms, leading-edge production studios, seven dining areas, offices, a fitness center, and an iconic central lobby. A double-height promenade will link the second and third floors, which will accommodate 10 classrooms spanning 21,700 sf of space, including a divisible 360-degree venue where large groups of students can participate both virtually and in-person. The Executive Club will feature a sophisticated bar and restaurant, a private deck, and inviting meeting rooms for smaller gatherings. On the upper stories, 160 hospitality suites will be available for visiting scholars and professionals, intermixed with lounges for further social exchange.

Positioning Kellogg as a trailblazer in hybrid education models, the transformative development will allow students, alumni, business leaders, and elite faculty from around the world to fully engage as teachers and learners. A tunnel connection to the adjacent Kellogg Global Hub will enhance accessibility in all weather conditions to create a unified campus. Targeting LEED v4 certification, the high-performance building will align with the university’s broader goals of sustainability and community-focused design. The biophilic facility will utilize extensive glazing to provide occupants with stunning lakefront views, augmented by a landscaped terrace and several outdoor patios.

Power Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is the centerpiece of Kellogg's Full Circle Campaign, a $600 million fundraising initiative that will also support faculty research, student scholarships, and curricular innovation. Occupancy is expected in September of 2027.
