Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics Opens Headquarters and iPSC Manufacturing Facility

Published 6/2/2026

Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics opened a new headquarters and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) manufacturing facility in April of 2026 in Madison, Wis. Integrating leading-edge capabilities, the 175,000-sf building features process development laboratories, cell culture manufacturing laboratories, three cleanroom suites, and a center of excellence for gene editing. The dynamic structure is expected to quadruple capacity for iPSC-derived iCell product lines and catalyze the firm’s portfolio as a whole, supporting partners engaged in drug discovery and the translation of stem cell science into real clinical impact to advance regenerative medicine worldwide.

Addressing growing demand from pharmaceutical companies as well as research and academic institutions, the scalable hub can accommodate a wide range of processes to meet evolving future needs, from investigational drug manufacturing to commercial production. The sophisticated facility is part of a $200 million strategic investment by Fujifilm to expand critical infrastructure for cell therapy manufacturing in the United States. Ground was broken in November of 2023 on the project, which is complemented by administrative space and warehouse operations on the site.
