Orange Regional Medical Center Opens in Middletown

The $255 million Orange Regional Medical Center will open in August of 2011 in Middletown, N.Y. Construction began on the seven-story, 621,000-sf facility in November of 2007. The hospital houses 353 beds in private rooms, a 50-bay emergency department, a Level 2 NICU, surgical suites, and a birthing center. The facility will also provide cancer, cardiac, and trauma care.

Oak Hill Hospital Plans Brooksville Expansion

Oak Hill Hospital is planning a $50 million expansion and renovation of its Brooksville facilities. Designed by Brasfield & Gorrie and built by Gould Turner Group, the 100,000-sf project includes 30,000 sf of new construction. A two-story inpatient tower with 36 private rooms will be built, as well as eight additional operating rooms.

AERCO Occupies New Headquarters

AERCO International, a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency water heaters and boilers, has moved its corporate headquarters to a new facility in Blauvelt, N.Y.  AERCO previously operated out of three separate facilities in Northvale, N.J. The new 156,000-sf building is more than twice the size of AERCO's former headquarters. The facility consolidates all existing operations into one location, allowing for improved communication and efficiency, while providing the necessary space for continued growth.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Builds Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is building the Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion in Los Angeles. Designed by the Los Angeles office of HOK and built by Hathaway Dinwiddie, the 11-story, 440,000-sf building will provide integrated facilities for outpatient care, translational research, and medical education. The pavilion will house clinical space, diagnostic and imaging facilities, a pharmacy, an education center, research labs, a café, three-floors of underground parking, and two connecting pedestrian bridges.
