Penn Medicine broke ground in April of 2025 on a $270 million multispecialty outpatient center in Montgomery Township, Pa. Designed by Array Architects, the four-story, 162,000-sf facility will provide comprehensive treatment for cancer, including radiation oncology and chemotherapy, as well as heart and vascular conditions, orthopedic care, neurology, and women’s health. The sophisticated structure will offer advanced imaging capabilities, infusion therapy services, and surgical consultations.

Kaiser Permanente Breaks Ground on Railyards Medical Center

Kaiser Permanente broke ground on the Railyards Medical Center in March of 2025 in Sacramento, Calif. Designed by SmithGroup, the 18-acre greenfield campus will act as a beacon for health and wellness that integrates premier amenities with the latest technologies. An eight-story, 662,000-sf hospital will anchor the complex and offer 310 beds, with 48 for intensive care. The structure will also provide 14 operating rooms, 70 emergency treatment bays, and a 38-bed birthing center with an eight-bed neonatal intensive care unit.

GBMC HealthCare Opens Berman Cancer Pavilion

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) opened the Sandra R. Berman Pavilion in February of 2025 to provide world-class cancer care and optimize patient outcomes throughout the region. The two-story, 70,000-sf hospital houses the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute and offers ambulatory care specialties such as breast cancer, genetics, gynecology, and infusion therapy. Consolidating GBMC’s cancer care services into one centralized location, the facility also accommodates onsite diagnostic imaging suites and a specialized oncology pharmacy.

University of Arizona Completes Gateway Building Construction

Forging a vibrant link between the west campus entrance and the Mill Avenue district of downtown, the 128,000-sf structure integrates classroom, administrative, mixed-use, and retail space to meet educational needs while maximizing land use.

The New York Center for Research, Economic Advancement, Technology, Engineering, and Science (NY CREATES) is constructing the $614 million NanoFab Reflection (NFR) facility in Albany, N.Y. Representing an expansion of the existing Albany NanoTech Complex, the four-story, 310,000-sf R&D building will feature a 50,000-sf ISO 5 cleanroom, complemented by approximately 50,000 sf of non-clean sub-fab space.
