Pennsylvania State University - Animal, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences Building

Pennsylvania State University is planning to construct the $98.5 million Animal, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences Building in University Park. Designed by HOK, the 105,000-sf facility will provide the College of Agricultural Sciences with research labs, a general-purpose classroom, faculty offices, seminar rooms, and a state-of-the-art vivarium. The animal science and veterinary and biomedical sciences departments will each have dedicated research space, with shared zones strategically sited on the second and third floors to promote collaboration and enhance programmatic flexibility. Replacing the existing Henning Building, the project will be linked to the adjacent Agricultural Sciences and Industries Building by a structure offering study lounges and open conference space. Completion is expected in 2021.
