The University of Tennessee dedicated the UT Medical Nursing Building in August of 2025 in Knoxville. Created in partnership with UT Medical Center, the $108.2 million facility was designed by Ayers Saint Gross and McCarty Holsaple McCarty as a catalyst for the optimization of health through nurse-led care. The first two floors of the 117,000-sf structure accommodate modern learning environments equipped with the latest pedagogical technologies, including a tiered 250-seat auditorium and a multipurpose classroom that can be adapted to suit small or large groups.

On the third story, high-fidelity simulation suites and skills labs mirror real-world clinical environments, allowing students to participate in immersive training. Featuring a leading-edge wet lab and an innovation lab, the flexible, four-story development provides an adaptive ecosystem for the cultivation of clinical excellence. Collaborative instructional spaces enable team-based education and interprofessional practice, and an outdoor plaza for teaching and events fosters engagement through community activities.

Blaine Construction Corporation served as construction manager for the project, which broke ground in August of 2022.
