University of North Texas at Dallas Opens STEM Facility

The University of North Texas at Dallas celebrated the opening of a $100 million STEM facility in December of 2025 that will expand pathways into healthcare and science for current and future students. Addressing statewide practitioner shortages, the 120,220-sf building is a learning destination for fields such as nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and optometry, as well as housing programs in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and neuroscience.

UC San Francisco Begins Construction on Life Sciences Building

The University of California, San Francisco began construction in August of 2025 on the Life Sciences Building located in the Dogpatch Power Station redevelopment. Designed by Herzog & de Mueron and Stantec, the transformative facility will drive bioscience innovation by bringing together research, best-in-class patient care, and graduate-level training with venues for new biomedical companies.

University of Nevada, Reno Opens College of Business

The University of Nevada opened the John Tulloch Business Building in August of 2025 in Reno. Designed by LMN Architects, the $155 million facility will serve as a hub for pedagogical excellence and innovation for the College of Business. Spanning 128,000 sf, the five-story structure features a 300-seat auditorium, interactive study spaces, and dynamic classrooms that integrate sophisticated technologies to support case method teaching strategies.

Savannah River National Lab Opens Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative at USC Aiken

Savannah River National Laboratory opened the Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative (AMC) in August of 2025 on the campus of the University of South Carolina Aiken. Designed by STOA Architects and Page (now part of Stantec), the $66 million facility will enable the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management to engage in collaborative discovery with academic institutions, industry partners, and government agencies at the city, state, and federal level.
