Rogers State University Breaks Ground on Science and Technology Center

Published 4/24/2026

Rogers State University broke ground in March of 2026 on the Robson Center for Science and Technology in Claremore, Okla. Designed by Parkhill, the 44,000-sf facility will provide vital capacity for growing, in-demand programs including chemical engineering, molecular biology, cybersecurity, robotics, and unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as premedical courses, nursing, allied health, and environmental conservation.

Multifunctional labs will integrate flexible furniture and fixtures to create an enhanced setting for research and education that can adapt to future growth. Replacing the 70-year-old Loshbaugh Hall, the $35 million building will accommodate technology-rich classrooms that foster active learning, interdisciplinary collaboration venues, and maker spaces. Open areas for robotics and drone work will be accompanied by a teaching kitchen dedicated to a planned bachelor’s program in nutritional science.

Driving excellence in STEM education and catalyzing regional workforce development, the three-story structure is supported by $10 million in state funding, as well as a $4 million commitment from the Cherokee Nation. Flintco is acting as general contractor, with completion expected in late 2027 or early 2028.
